American political cartoonist
Barry Blitt (born April 30, in Côte Saint-Luc, Quebec) is a Canadian-born American cartoonist and illustrator, best known for his New Yorker covers and as a regular contributor to the op-ed page of The New York Times.
Blitt creates his works in traditional pen and ink, as well as watercolors.
Early life and education
Blitt grew up in Côte Saint-Luc, Quebec, a municipality on the Island of Montreal.[1] The artist's first publication credit came at age a series of drawings in the Philadelphia Flyers yearbook.[2] He graduated from The Ontario College of Art and Design in [3] and moved to the US in [4]
Work
Blitt first began drawing political cartoons at the Toronto Magazine.
